Homemade roller coasters
Hello there everyone, I hope you all are staying safe and healthy during this period of crisis. I decided to do something interesting today. So I will be discussing the top 4 Homemade roller coasters in the United States. Yes that is right, everyday people invested in making their own backyard roller coasters. So lets get right into the list.
4. Blue Flash
The Blue Flash is a homemade backyard roller coaster manufactured by John Ivers, a citizen of Bruceville, Indiana. He claims that he received no formal engineering training and that he just used the standard process of trial and error to design this amazing single loop roller coaster. Does it ensure
safety? Well He claims that he kept building his coaster until it outgrew his shed. This prompted him to get the whole thing outside and he continued to build his coaster. He added a full loop to the coaster with an engine-powered conveyor chain, support towers, and he even managed to decorate his coaster using flags. He named his marvelous creation as the Blue Flash. The best part about this coaster is that it was built bu him for his 5 grandchildren. I really love the look of this coaster and I really wouldn't mind giving this coaster a go if I ever get the chance.
3. Speeder
This coaster is built on a pretty big backyard by a guy named Mark. It has quite impressive stats for a homemade coaster and this is the fastest coaster on the list. It features two bank curves and a few mild drops. This coaster does not have any loops or special features but still building such a fast and high speed coaster at home is a pretty impressive task. I am sorry that I wasn't able to find any statistics for this one.
2. Exscream
This is one amazing coaster. The exscream was built by "coasterdude." He decided to build this giant of a coaster in his backyard. It looks really awesome. That 90 degree vertical drop is sure to give anybody a good scare. This is one of the most extreme roller coasters ever to be built on a backyard. This coaster should contain a good amount of g forces for it to be this scary. It is operated by gravity and it features two breaks at the end. It just lasts for 15 seconds but for the most part of those 15 seconds, the riders are set to be hanging, staring right at the ground and once the ride drops, at such a short distance, you are sure to get a jump scare. I honestly think that a few people would even pass out on this.
1. Trackstar
This coaster was built by Jeremy Reid, an average home owner who took a course on physics and strength of materials. He decided to build this stupendous coaster on his backyard. I have a video for this coaster and I am sure you guys will enjoy it.
